J. Scott Christianson is an Associate Teaching Professor of management at the University of Missouri, where his interests are focused on the impact of emerging technology on society and geopolitics. Prior to joining the college, he was an entrepreneur with decades of experience in videoconferencing technology, project management, and information technology. He currently serves as the College’s Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, helping student turn their ideas into profitable products and services.
Scott’s current projects include ongoing collaborations with colleagues in Ukraine and South Africa to deliver courses and workshops on emerging technologies to audiences worldwide. He has appeared on numerous radio shows and podcasts, and he is often interviewed in the media.
An experienced speaker, Scott also delivers guest lectures and workshops. His experience and constant involvement in the worlds of technology, business, and education put him in a unique position to speak on a variety of topics, and he’s always up for a good conversation.
J Scott Christianson recognized as a leader in applying emerging technologies in education programs and the classroom. Received the Distance Learning Leadership Award from the Missouri Distance Learning Association and several teaching awards from the Trulaske College of Business at the University of Missouri.
He founded a high-tech business and operated it for over 20 years. Leader in the videoconferencing industry and involved in the local business community.
