Rick Rasmussen

Rick Rasmussen is a Silicon Valley native and managing director of Concordia Ventures, a strategic management company that helps develop innovative ecosystems for more than 20 governments and economic development agencies around the world. He is a regular speaker at conferences, leads several accelerators, and serves on numerous international advisory boards.

He is a research associate at the University of California, Berkeley, and a member of the faculty at Northeastern University. He develops and teaches courses on innovation and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on finance. He teaches courses on ‘Advanced Entrepreneurship,’ ‘Industry Breakthrough and Corporate Transformation,’ and ‘Corporate Finance and Private Equity.’

Previously, he was CEO of the MIPS microprocessor division at LSI Logic, vice president of marketing at C-Cube Microsystems, and acting CEO at Vectorlink/@Road. All of these leading companies in the industry went public with a total value of $12 billion.

Alina Adams is an experienced entrepreneur and expert in the fields of sustainable development, climate innovation, and impact investing of Ukrainian origin. She earned a bachelor's degree in applied physics from the East Ukrainian National University and later continued her education in the United States, where she received master's degrees in engineering (San Jose State University) and business administration (Santa Clara University).

She teaches at leading US universities — Northeastern University and Santa Clara University.

Over the past 10 years, Alina has provided mentoring support to hundreds of startups within leading international programmes such as the Miller Center for Global Impact, CleanTech Open and the European Innovation Academy. She is an advisor to Stanford Executive Accelerator — a programme for executives and founders of innovative companies.

Alina founded a company that deals with carbon capture technologies and actively advises startups working in the fields of ‘deep’ technologies — from the mobility of the future to quantum energy and wireless power transmission. Her work focuses on finding solutions to climate challenges and accelerating the development of world-changing innovations.

She lives and works in Silicon Valley (USA), where she actively collaborates with entrepreneurs, investors, and universities to develop a technology ecosystem with a positive impact on the environment and society.

In addition to her scientific and entrepreneurial activities, Alina is a business coach at the AlchemistX accelerator, where she helps company founders build strategies and implement socially significant projects. She also advises venture capital funds on creating investment instruments to support projects with environmental and social impact.

Alina is an active participant in the international Al Gore Climate Reality Project initiative and a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and innovation.
